Robert Hurtubise
Co-Founder

Having worked at the local, provincial, national, and multi-sport levels, Robert has been involved in Canadian sport and recreation throughout his career.

He is a graduate of Brock University’s Sport Management program, a certified NCCP Learning Facilitator, and an advocate for healthy living.

An expert grant writer, Robert has provided fundraising support and program management for organizations from Colombia to California to Canada.

Melanie Belore
Co-Founder

Melanie brings a diverse background in sport to the atPlay team as a former athlete, youth coach and academic. 

She has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, and a Master’s degree in Exercise Sciences from the University of Toronto, specializing in sport, gender and community building. 

Her passion lies in helping non profits better understand their impact through outcome-based design and evaluation, and in using narrative to build a compelling case of support for community programming.
